Let’s get you set-up to invest

To start your investment journey we first need to get you securely set-up.
As an existing Santander customer, we've made this simple with minimum fuss.

  • Have your National Insurance Number to hand
    (you can find these on your payslip, P60, or other HMRC tax letters).
  • You'll need to be an existing Santander customer, with access to Online Banking or our mobile app.

Personal Pension

Please check you're comfortable with the below before starting the transfer process

  • You’re a UK resident (for tax purposes).
  • Once you’ve invested into a pension, you can’t normally access the money before you turn 55 (57 from 6 April 2028).
  • The value of your investment is not guaranteed. It can fall as well as rise.
  • You’re happy to make your own investment decisions. If you’re unsure about your investments, we recommend you seek financial advice.
  • Free and impartial help, backed by the Government can be found online at www.moneyhelper.org.uk
  • Please ensure you are comfortable with our charges compared to your existing scheme, particularly if you are transferring in from a workspace scheme. If your employer is paying into the pension scheme you're transferring, you could lose those payments. This may affect the amount of pension savings you receive. You should check these points before starting a transfer to us
